THIS IS NOT A FREE APP.
So, when I read the description for Babbel, it said that you were given access to thousands of lessons to a bunch of different languages, for FREE. Even the app was free. See, when you make an app, you dont load it with monthly subscriptions when the upfront cost for it is zilch. Yeah, 10$ isnt that much, but what if you just cant make the time for Babbel all thirty-ish days of the month? If you say free access, you should mean it, and not just hide behind your user terms and agreements, which I dont think this app even has. When I downloaded this and finished the first lesson, it asked me for a monthly subscription. First I just thought, oh, this is just some premium thing. Its definitely not for access to the FREE LESSONS. If you have, I dont know, forty dollars to blow on a language app, you can certainly get this. It has a really nice interface and the lessons are pretty good. But, if you just want to learn a freaking language without paying, use Duolingo. Not as pretty, has IAPs, but hey, at least it doesnt ask for ten dollars just to use it.
