Needs to be less rigid
The conversational approach to learning a language seems better than the approach taken by other apps like Duolingo. But there are issues.
After some experimentation, the microphone settings can be arranged in such a way as to improve the speech recognition capabilities of program. But depending on how you use inflection in your voice it is not necessarily going to work when you start.
This app is too rigid and unyielding in accepting answers from the student. There is no opportunity to make corrections for typographical errors before submitting the answer. Using this on an iPhone with its small keyboard almost demands an opportunity to fix typos. And the inexplicable lack of a click when using the spacebar just adds to the frustration of using the chiclet keyboard.
Ive raised these points with customer service. I would like to say they have been responsive, answering my questions within a day. But I have my doubts that any of my issues will make it past them and up to the development team for consideration.
